NEW REQUIREMENT FOR POULTRY AND RABBIT EXHIBITORS.
New this year. 4-H Project Leaders and FFA Instructors
must submit a list of students currently under their supervision in a
poultry or rabbit project 60 days prior to the show date - on or before
July 7th, 2009. Independent exhibitors must notify the fair of intent
to show poultry or rabbits on or before July 7th, 2009.
All lists or letters of intent to show, must be delivered to the Fair Office by July 7th, 2009 by 4:30pm. For more information please contact the Fair Office at 559-674-8511.

SHEEP, GOAT, AND SWINE TAGGING DATES ANNOUNCED.
All market sheep and goats must be officially weighed and tagged on June
27th at the Madera Fairgrounds between 7 am and 11 am or on June 28th
at Yosemite High School Ag Farm between 8 am and 10am.
All market swine leaders/instructors must file an exhibitor's list with ear tags and pictures at the Madera Fairgrounds during office hours or on June 27th at the Madera Fairgrounds between 7 am and 11 am or on June 28th at Yosemite High School Ag Farm between 8 am and 10am.

the community with an opportunity to dispose of old computers, television
sets, monitors and other out-dated, unusable or unwanted electronic items
for proper recycling in a safe and

The 21-A District Agricultural Association announces proposed award of
their contract for the Madera District Fair’s Weekly Flea Market/Swap
Meet to Billy Hargrove & Associates, Inc. If no protest is filed by
5:00 P.M. on March 13, 2009, award will be final. (last day of 5-day waiting
period).

DISTRICT FAIR SEEKS PROPOSALS FOR FLEA MARKET OPERATION
The Madera District Fair has released the Request For Proposal (RFP) package
for the operation of the Flea Market / Swap Meet that operates every Wednesday
at the Madera District Fairgrounds behind the Speedway. The Flea Market
is currently operated by Bill and Karol Hargrove and has an attendance
of over 100,000 people annually with an average of nearly 200 vendors
each week.
All proposals are due by February 10th at the Madera District Fair’s administration office. The accepted proposal will be announced February 13th and the successful bidder will begin operating the Flea Market on April 1st.

PARKING LOTS AT THE MADERA FAIR!
If you think things look different from Cleveland Ave, you should see
it from air! Many people in the community have called asking where they
will be able to park during the 2008 Madera Fair. The map linked below
shows all of the new parking lots that have been developed as a result
of the recent changes on the fairgrounds. These new parking lots along
with a new one-way road that surrounds the fairgrounds, will help to make
it easy to get in and out of the fair... which means more time for fun!
