The Madera District Fair will sponsor a FREE electronic waste recycling day on Saturday, April 16th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  This event provides the community with an opportunity to dispose of old computers, television sets, monitors and other out-dated, unusable or unwanted electronic items for proper recycling in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. 2-3-2011: CALIFORNIA BUDGET CUTS WILL AFFECT FAIRS STATEWIDE
The Brown Administration’s plan to eliminate annual funding for California statewide network of fairs is expected to put 29 of them at risk of closure and could end up costing the General Fund $57.4 million in lost annual income, the California Fairs Alliance warned today.
