READ TO RIDE



The 2024 Read to Ride program kicks off, June 11th with Madera County Library.

In partnership with the Madera County Library and Midway of Fun we are proud to add a little incentive for your kiddos to keep reading over summer. Students aged Kinder-6th grade are encouraged to READ (2) books to receive (1) RIDE ticket, good for a single ride at the 2024 Madera Fair.


WHAT ARE THE RULES?

RULES and REGULATIONS: Read to Ride redemption valid any day of the 2024 Fair, at FAIR CAMP dates on the Fairgrounds or the Madera Co. Library Summer Reading program. Any school age child in Kindergarten-6th may participate. One ticket = One free ride (some rides subject to exclusion). Books must be approved by student’s teacher or parent/guardian. Forms must be completely filled out with parent, guardian or teacher signature. Additional forms can be found online or at the Madera Co. Library. No books may be repeated for redemption. Students must be present to redeem the ride tickets. Only one (1) report per child per day will be accepted. Original book report forms only, no photocopies of summaries will be accepted. Report forms are only valid in increments of two (2) books. While supplies last. All ride height and safety requirements will apply.

WHERE DO I GET A FORM?

  • You can pick up a form at the Madera Fair Office, 1850 W. Cleveland Ave during office hours 8am-4:30pm
  • You can pick up a form at the Madera County Library
  • You can download and print out the form beginning June 11th.

HOW DO I COLLECT MY RIDE TICKET(s)?

  • Participate in FAIR CAMP with MUSD Expanded Learning Program, June 17th-21st
  • Visit Madera County Library
  • Visit Guest Services at the Madera Fair, September 5-8, 2024
